I just love my yellow swatch watch that was given to me during my junior year at the university. I had done a big favor for a new teammate of mine by taking her a shopping outlet in Potomac Mills. I mentioned this in my first Olympic swatch watch post. They had a Swatch Outlet store there in the mid 1990s to the beginning of 2000. I was surprised when she offered me a swatch watch and I didn’t want to accept it because I’m sure she would have done the same for me.

But I guess her situation was different; her first time in the USA via Germany; she saved lots of money compared to regular stores; she saved even more because of high prices which are found in Germany. Well and if you know most Germans, its extremely hard to say no to them. When they stand on a subject, theres pretty  much no success in changing their minds!

So this is how my second swatch watch became a part of my watch collections. The watch is a mustard yellow color in the band and I could say that is a soft snake skin patterned material. But it’s not the normal type of snake skin that you would normally see. Inside the dial there is a burst of sparkling yellow. The hands of the watch are of gold and there aren’t any numbers notable at all. The logo and trademark SWATCH brand is blue and located at the lower dial of the watch. The crystal of the watch is plastic and it is water resistances up to 100 feet, although I have not tried!

This is one of my more regular watches that I keep with me all the time ever since 1997.  I have only had to change the watch battery 3 times during its 10 year life span with me. I can always recommend a swatch watch for anyone because they are affordable and actually do last a lifetime!

During one summer the family and I went out to the Prime Outlets in Williamsburg, VA just before the new school year started. I believe it might have been in late July or August. I wasn’t exactly shopping around for watches at the time but the Reebok Outlet had a pretty good sale going on. So I was tempted to purchase the Reebok analog sports watch. The first thing that caught my eye was the chrome silver body and the back dial. Pretty neat and of course the price I believe was really cheap at $14.97.

The shape of the body was very unique to me at the time. Inside the dial of the watch the emblems are silver and the hands glow in the dark very sutle but enough. The Reebok watch band is black and very soft leather. It surprised me that a watch of this quality and brand name was so cheap at the time. Of course outlets are cheap but it was shock to me. As I play sports I wanted a downtime watch and something away from the digital watches that I owned.

The watch is water resistant up to 100m.

I honestly have it in my watch collection box because it needs a battery but I know I wouldn’t wear it because I have other sport watches which I’ve taken as my favorite right now!

Finally, a new review of an orange watch in my watch collection. This watch was a gift from an assistant basketball coach of mine during Christmas. She knew that I collected watches and decided to give me one. It is an orange quartz watch that has a square shaped dial. Inside the watch dial there are not any numbers present, only four dots signifying the quarter hour.

The outside trim of the watch is silver and inside the dial is white. The band is a bright orange which I really liked at the time. However, now my taste has changed and my clothing. I have nothing that I could possibly wear with that watch. Thus, it is in my watch collection box.

The texture of the orange watch band is sort of a patent leather with a glossy look. The battery it takes is the standard 626 watch battery.
